A good question. I wish I knew the answer. Mine never got big enough to trim before I had to move out of that appartment and abandon them sadly.

You can sand a little, but as you suggested, it removes the shiny finish. Better to avoid cutting them at all. In hindsight, you could cover them with a bit of epoxy and turn/polish that.

Nice, that sounds really cool.

Thanks for the comment. Glad you like it. Sorry I didn't share more about that part. The slats in the middle of the seat are sitting on a 1 inch by 1 inch rabbet and attatched with screws.

We've got a pizza oven too. I'll make you a pizza.
Any time, Mike. I'll cook you a pizza in the brick oven too.
Thanks Audrey. It certainly feels like an oasis. You're welcome to come chill any time you are on the east coast.

The vessel on the top doesn't matter so much. You could really use any plastic container there. The important bit is that the wicking fabric reaches the water in the tank an is able to make it into the soil. I believe someone else in this thread used the tank cover turned upside down to hold the plants.

Sure! What kind of things do you want to use? Do you still want it to go on the toilet?

Good point. I should have done that in the original one. Unfortunately my current bathroom has no windows, so it doesn't make sense to make a new one now. Hope you send pictuers when you finish it.

I think it was 1/4 by 1/4. It should be as thick as the plywood sections.

A good question. I replaced the grass with artificial turf when I moved away from San Francisco. To be honest, I don't know if it is even still around. The key is good watering and the right amount of sun. Also, probably a tiny lawn mower.

Will this 3DF file work? If not I can share a public link. Also, sorry for the sloppy modeling, this was one of my first Fusion360 projects. See step 3 for file.

Thank you!
Miss you Paolo. Give a high five and a hug to the next Pier9er you see for me please.
Glad you liked the project. Like you said, the vehicle was chosen largely for the iconography and popularity, but also because of it's size and convenience. I have seen similar projects done on pedal powered tricycles and in vans and busses in the US. Thanks for the support,-Coby
View Instructable »I love Tuk-Tuks (auto rickshaws), and I think my fascination with them was a bit of a bewilderment to many of my Indian friends. We definitly do need something smaller than a car, but safer than a motorcyle in the US.

So glad you like it.
Thank you. Hope some of the tips come in handy. If you make something round, I'd love to see pics in the comments.
I delayed starting this project for months because I didn't want to buy a big plywood cylinder. The drum idea was what made it all possible. I love segmented circles. Short of steam bending, they are the strongest and most efficient use of wood for making a circle. The key is to offset the layers to reinforce each other and not rely on butt joints and glue. Looking forward to your plate and microwave dish windows.
Thank you very much.
