  • Champs

    Curator’s Pick
    [Content provided by sponsor.]
On the second level, just above Adidas and in between Nordstrom and Macy’s is the chain retailer Champs. Many retail chains like this have their detractors, and shoppers know exactly what they’ll find here – only the Galleria’s Champs is bigger and more expansive than other locations — featuring a nice selection of ladies athletic shoes and activewear. If you need athletic sneakers or cleats, Champs is going to offer a wide variety of selections across the big-name brands. Champs Galleria also features a large selection of hats (think: Lids) to match any shoe you can find. This store tends to be a little heavy on the Nike side, so much in fact you might assume it’s a Nike store if only walking past, but they still sell plenty of Adidas, Reebok, crocs and other brands in between. If you want a range of athletic shoe choices where attendants help you get fitted, Champs is among the best of Houston’s Galleria for just that.

  • Christian Louboutin

    Curator’s Pick
Located near Neiman Marcus on the first level (park in the Orange Parking Garage for the quickest access), both men and women Loub lovers will delight in dedicated sections at the seriously-show stopping Christian Louboutin Galleria boutique. Here, everyone is greeted by the top-branded French designer’s signature red hue gracing not only the soles of Pigalles, So Kates, Greggos, Dandelions, and all their iconic companions but also the carpet in this designer boutique. They’ll even pop open a bottle of bubbly if you ask! Playful accessories like crystal ball keyrings, studded leather bracelets, and audaciously spiked belts are among the treasures to be found alongside a well-curated selection of calfskin wallets and monogram handbags. Although high end department stores here carry the famous red bottoms, this boutiques is the best in the Houston Galleria to buy the latest and greatest designs from the famed Christian Louboutin.

  • Dillard's

    Curator’s Pick
Depending on your personal preference, it might be a good or bad thing that Dillard’s at the Galleria is detached from the rest of the mall and not officially part of the shopping epicenter’s lineup. To get here, if you’re already shopping in the Galleria, you do have the option of using free Galleria parking and crossing Post Oak Blvd on foot. For many locals, this is the best Houston Galleria parking, as it is pretty no fuss on a typical day. Otherwise, it’s located at the corner of Post Oak and Westheimer, near Neiman Marcus. Just as you would expect from an old-school department store, Dillard’s Post Oak is massive. Not the most high-end store in Houston, Dillard’s does supply mid-tier, sought-after brands at an affordable price point. Along with Macy’s, this is a big box store where one could easily hold a wedding or baby shower registry without expecting friends and family to overspend on your behalf. If clearance items and deals are what you’re after, this is a strong destination.

  • Fendi

    Curator’s Pick
Italian luxury fashion house, Fendi, is situated between Tiffany & Co. and Omega. Here, you can find a wide array of men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, handbags, jewelry, and even pet accessories. Make a statement with their iconic Baguette purse available in nappa leather, full-grain leather, mink, and seemingly everything in between, including bright nylon. You can even personalize select Fendi accessories and clothing with hot-stamped initials, which would make a fantastic gift. It is true that the designer is not afraid to experiment, and creativity is second nature. With the superior craftsmanship, however, comes prices to match, so come prepared to splurge — this boutique is one of the best Houston Galleria has to offer. Afraid of splurging too much? (After all, a Mini Baguette starts at $1,190 and increases significantly from there…) In-store pickup is a great option: Simply add the items you want to purchase to your online shopping bag, then select “Collect in a Fendi store” as your shipping option. You will be notified once your purchase is ready for pickup.

  • Foot Locker

    Curator’s Pick
Located inside the dining pavilion on the ice skating rink level, the best place for parking is the orange lot. This store has a solid selection of brand-name shoes and as you would expect from Foot Locker, customer service that is usually knowledgeable and helpful. If you like athletic shoes for aesthetics, you could be stuck looking here for hours trying on different pairs. Some of the nicer Nike’s have specialized displays too, so for a shoe junky it’s a fun store to browse. One of the best features of Foot Locker Galleria is their wide selection of kids’ and toddler’s shoes at excellent prices. Moms and dads looking to gear up for basketball or grab a good-looking pair of shoes for their kiddos should definitely stop here. Note: House of Hoops is located inside this location. The variety and selection here make it easily among the best Houston Galleria shoe stores.
  • Forever 21

    Curator’s Pick
Near the Yellow Parking Garage, Forever 21 Galleria is a large storefront spanning Levels 1 & 2 with an in-store escalator connecting upstairs and down. As far as clothing stores at Houston’s Galleria go, Forever 21 Galleria has a huge selection of stylish clothing (including a nice selection in the plus-size department), mostly geared towards a young adult crowd. Expect to find affordable regular prices – pants and dresses are $30 -$45 and most shirts will be under $20 – and a nice selection of sales items for under $10. Just be warned, this is a store with a massive inventory so be ready to dig for what you want. If you don’t think Forever 21 is one of the best of Galleria Houston clothing stores, you’ll easily agree that it’s one of the largest.
  • Golden Goose

    Curator’s Pick
Perfectly perched next to SEPHORA on the first level, the Venetian sneaker star, Golden Goose, is easy to spot with its ivory façade, golden nameplate, and faux laundromat installation. Each style is on art-like display — from the Super-Star to the Hi Star for women to the Dad Star and Slide for men. This store is impressive and you also can’t miss the Goldens suspended from the ceiling! Golden Goose is arguably one of the most artistically-designed best stores in the Houston Galleria. Besides an extensive men’s and women’s shoe section, there is a kids’ and Mini Me Collection as well, ranging in sizes 1 to 10 years for both boys and girls. The entire family can be outfitted in functional yet uniquely colorful style that includes clothing, handbags, hats, and other accessories, too. Don’t see the sneaker you’re looking for in store? Golden Goose’s sales experts are happy to assist you with ordering directly from their website.
  • Gucci

    Curator’s Pick
It’s all Gucci at the Gucci Galleria boutique—sorry,we just had to say it. But seriously, the highly-influential Italian designer does not disappoint at its Houston Galleria location. Pastel pink tufted walls, burgundy crushed velvet chairs, contrasting marble floors… and that’s just the women’s section. The men’s area is just as striking with its emerald-green shelving, matching lounge seating, and vintage oriental rug. With walls of expertly crafted leather shoes and handbags and glass cases full of small accessories, it’s easy to get lost in the unsurpassed artisanship of the brand. Do note that, due to its obvious popularity among luxury lovers, it's not uncommon for a line to form outside the boutique on weekends, especially Saturdays and Sundays. We’ll agree the line isn’t one of the best Galleria Houston experiences you’ll have, but the store is worth the wait! Don’t have time to wait in the queue to then peruse the store yourself? Call to order ahead for curbside pickup for even easier and quicker shopping.
  • Louis Vuitton

    Curator’s Pick
The signature monogram is instantly visible walking up to the original Louis Vuitton boutique located on the first level between Neiman Marcus and the Galleria Financial Center. Quick tip: While you wait in line to get in — typically busiest during the evening hours and on weekends — stop for a selfie in front of its memorable entrance. Okay, so on to what’s inside… Fill up your orange shopping bag(s) with everything from an iconic Neverfull GM to an Epi leather Alma BB. Travel in style with rolling luggage, duffle bags, and an impressive assortment of small leather goods. Browse the thoughtfully curated ready-to-wear clothing, shoes, and jewelry selections for both men and women. For men’s-only styles, and a truly unique experience, stop by the newly opened LV boutique that is fully dedicated to men; it’s the only one of its kind in the Lone Star State and can be found just a few doors down, right next to the Gucci store! It’s no wonder Louis Vuitton is considered one of the top-branded designers in the world of fashion, and you can shop it all at the Louis Vuitton Houston Galleria. Many would argue this is the quintessential destination for high end shoppers looking for the best stores in Galleria Houston.
  • Macy's

    Curator’s Pick
If you’re heading directly to Macy’s in Houston’s Galleria, the red/green parking garage on West Alabama makes for the fastest access. Located in the southern section of the Galleria near other hot spots Nordstrom and H&M, the first two floors are accessible from the interior of the mall only. Macy’s Galleria remains the only widely-affordable department store situated inside the shopping complex itself. The first floor of Macy’s in the Galleria is predominantly for men’s shopping. The second story follows a similar layout to the first level but for women. The third level of Macy’s Galleria is stocked with home goods and appliances, along with luggage, a giant showroom for mattresses, and multiple bedding displays. To appreciate the expected pizazz to be found in the Galleria Houston, visit the center of the store. It holds a giant glass rotunda in its ceiling above the criss-crossing elevators to allow in sunlight without being overbearing, a beautiful touch for a mid-tier department store. If you’re looking for the cross section of Galleria Houston’s wide range of quality, luxury, and affordability, you may find it all in Macy’s.

  • MCM

    Curator’s Pick
Michael Cromer Munich, German designer extraordinaire and better known as MCM to all who lust over his luxury handbags and leather goods, has made a comeback over the last few decades. The well-known and sought-after designer’s Galleria boutique is located on level one near the main mall elevators and is easy to spot with its signature logo at the entrance. The store not only carries the famous cognac and black bags celebrities fawn over, but it also features a thoughtful collection of clothing, footwear, eyewear, a line of fragrances, and beauty products. You can even find a limited-edition zoo bear backpack! Whether you prefer the classic Visetos pattern or something a bit more unconventional, you’ll find it here at MCM Galleria.

  • Nordstrom

    Curator’s Pick
Nordstrom Galleria and its parking garage are closest to Houston’s famed Waterwall Park, a prominent destination for all out-of-towners and Houstonians alike. This results in heavy foot traffic for the red/green parking garage on West Alabama, the same parking spots targeted by Macy’s and H&M shoppers. However, Nordstrom does offer a valet service at the garage’s first floor level, available for a fee plus recommended tip. Note, this 3-story Nordstrom is their primary department store, not the discount outlet Nordstrom Rack. That said, Nordstrom at the Galleria does offer more deals than other neighboring high-end department stores Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, since seasonal sales are frequently advertised, making it one of the best of Houston Galleria Mall.

  • Saks Fifth Avenue

    Curator’s Pick
Located on the east end of the Galleria, you’ll notice this section of the Galleria has far less foot traffic than other parts of the shopping mall. This is the premier Houston department store if you’re looking to buy the best of the best in prestigious and storied products, including clothes, handbags, accessories such as sunglasses, makeup and fragrances, and of course – every shopaholic’s favorite – shoes. So you can expect the customer service experience is naturally more elevated here. Much like Neiman Marcus, level 1 of Saks Fifth Avenue has adopted the vendor model where the store is somewhat of a mall within a mall. World-renowned brands like Christian Louboutin, Gucci and Louis Vuitton might have their own stand-alone stores elsewhere within the Galleria, yet the option to shop prices at a third party like Saks is ideal. For ease of access, Saks proudly offers a valet service for a small fee, although the purple garage is perfect for parking here with an entrance leading up a few short steps directly to the first level.

  • Zara

    Curator’s Pick
Zara Galleria offers a wide selection of men’s, women’s and kids’ clothing. Located near Neiman Marcus on Levels 1 and 2, park in the Orange Garage. With a huge variety of options in classic and timeless styles, you’ll find dresses, suits, men’s blazers, jeans, t-shirts and everything in between. For a rather prestigious brand of clothing, just about everything in the store is under $100, and a lot of the best clothing is between $60 - $90. Don’t be afraid if it looks like the average shopping age here is 15 years old either. For casual or professional wear, Zara has a nice selection for just about any age. The one downside – customer service can be hit or miss and on weekends, you can expect to wait 30 minutes in the checkout lines.
